Real Over Perfect
Honestly? The corporate thing wasn't for me. The office politics, the fluorescent lights, the feeling of following someone else's rules and pretending that was enough. Not because I wasn't capable, but because it was never made for me.
So in 2012 I picked up my camera, and did the thing that everyone said was way too risky and built something of my own instead. Many years later I can confidently say it was absolutely the best decision I ever made.

Our Origin Story
We believe your photos should look and feel like you and not a filtered, over-posed, overly polished version of you. We believe the best moments are the unplanned ones. We believe pets belong in your photos, that your portraits should be as unique as you are and that no image should ever look like it came from a stock photo library or was AI generated.
We believe in showing up fully, working hard and making every single client feel like the most important session on our calendar. Because to us ... they are.

Behind the Lens - Owner, Photographer & Adventure Seeker
I've had a camera in my hand for most of my life. There was never really a question about whether photography was my thing. As a kid, I remember dreaming of working for National Geographic or Conde Nast Traveler. I wanted to travel the world!
In 2012 I finally decided it was time and Silver Sparrow Photography was born. Thirteen years, thousands of sessions and countless adventures later and I still love what I do and the people I get to meet.
When I'm not behind the camera you'll find me hiking Colorado trails, nose in a good book, dancing and singing at a concert, deep in a cozy video game or planning my next adventure. Africa, Costa Rica and Paris are already checked off the list with Ireland, Italy and Iceland up next. I'm a firm believer that life is too short to play it safe so eat the dessert, sing and dance like no one is watching and never say no to the next great experience.
